Perspective

Kenny Fries

When we reach the top:
the mountain, the lake, the sky.

You say, like the Japanese:
the sky the lake,

the lake the sky—
the mountain floating—

Two leaves above us.
From where—?

All the trees below us.
On the large boulder

at the edge
we watch the wind.
