Two Late Summer Afternoon Fragments

Is there music falling
out of the sky like rain
or is rain
falling like music
always does in this
resonating chamber
of a dry field
thirsting?
2.
It is the participatory
wind in the trees.
Then shadows moving
on the pages of a book.
